Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Charge Capture Specialist II to ensure accurate charge capture across departments. You will review medical records to determine charges, transfer data to Information Services and Finance, and support process improvements while upholding confidentiality and compliance.

Responsibilities include interpreting medical records, applying CPT charges per guidelines, and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain accurate billing practices within SCHS policies.

Qualifications

• Two years revenue cycle charge capture experience.
• Related healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Epic or other EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret documents in the medical record.
• Accurately determine charges for assigned services and transfer data as scheduled.
• Complete accurate and timely charge capture tasks.
• Provide feedback on others' work and support team activities.
• Support Lean principles and maintain confidentiality and ethics.
