Job summary

Apptronik is seeking an ECAD Librarian to own and grow the Altium component library, ensuring each schematic symbol, PCB footprint, and 3D model is accurate, standardized, and manufacturable. You will partner with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to keep the library current and enforce IPC and DFM best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in ECAD/library management or PCB design.
• 2–5+ years in ECAD library management, component engineering, or PCB design.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the Altium component library; ensure symbols, footprints, and 3D models are accurate and manufacturable.
• Apply IPC-7351 and JEDEC standards to new and revised components; verify DFM/DFA compatibility.
• Define naming conventions, templates, schemas, lifecycle states, and part-request workflows; drive library audits.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, supply chain, and contract manufacturers to source data and support board bring‑up.
• Maintain ECAD‑to‑PLM integration and explore automation to reduce errors.
