Job summary

Humanoid seeks an ECAD Librarian to own and grow the Altium component library for its hardware team. You’ll ensure accurate schematic symbols, footprints, and data across Boston, Vancouver, and London, driving library standards, lifecycle governance, and traceability to reduce respin risks.

You will partner with EE designers, support Teamcenter integration, and lead periodic cleanup to minimize duplication, while keeping documentation current in Confluence.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, cross-referencing datasheets, pins, and dimensions.
• Familiarity with lifecycle stages and where-used traceability.
• Understanding of component conventions and supplier alternates.
• Experience with PLM/ERP integration concepts and data alignment.
• Bonus: exposure to hardware startup environments and library hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Own the Altium component library: create, validate, and maintain symbols, footprints, and 3D models.
• Enforce library standards: apply sizing, REFDES schemes, and naming conventions.
• Manage component lifecycle: administer Draft → Preliminary → Production statuses in Altium.
• Ensure data integrity: verify manufacturer part numbers, alternates, and datasheet-aligned footprint data.
• Support traceability: where-used tracking for components, symbols, footprints.
• Collaborate with EE designers across Boston/London to update libraries as needed.
• Align Altium data with Teamcenter PLM and part numbering schemes.
• Lead bulk library cleanups to reduce duplication and inconsistencies.
• Document rules and conventions in Confluence for discoverability.
