Job summary

Celeste Beauty Academy, Inc. in Charlotte-Mecklenburg, NC seeks an experienced Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to support special-education program development and school-opening readiness for the August 2027 launch.

The role involves establishing systems, instructional practices, documentation, and compliance infrastructure to serve students with disabilities effectively, including IDEA/504 compliance and EC records management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, or related field.
Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, IEP implementation, and inclusive practices.
Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
Experience with EC documentation, progress monitoring, case management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

Support development of Celeste Beauty Academy’s Exceptional Children program and instructional framework.
Assist with planning EC IEP implementation, progress monitoring, documentation, and service delivery.
Develop procedures and resources for accommodations, modifications, inclusion, and differentiated instruction.
Assist leadership with planning EC staffing and related-service needs.
Collaborate with Principal, curriculum team, general ed teachers, and consultants.
Ensure EC programming aligns with the school’s academic, CTE, cosmetology, and career-readiness model.
