Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
• Current North Carolina teaching license
• Prior teaching experience is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Know and understand NC State Standard Course of Study to develop proficient lesson plans
• Establish a safe and orderly environment and empower students
• Manage classroom behaviors and minimize disruptions to learning
• Participate in MTSS processes to provide equitable education
• Demonstrate Leadership from Leader In Me program schoolwide
• Collaborate with staff to create a professional learning community
• Develop goals/strategies through the school improvement plan
• Be open to constructive feedback from lead teachers/coaches/administrators
• Differentiate instruction to meet student needs
• Mentor and support teachers to improve department/grade level
• Value differences and build positive relationships with students
• Regularly assess students with formative/summative checks
• Demonstrate tech/instructional media competency
• Work with parents to promote positive behavioral support
• Other duties assigned by the Principal
