Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Must hold or be eligible for NC EC licensure: General Curriculum (K-12).
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, NC EC program requirements.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with laws and NC rules.
• Provide direct instruction in academic, functional, behavioral, and social areas.
• Collaborate with general ed teachers, related services, admins, and families.
• Collect and analyze student data to track progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintain documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior plans per IEPs.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, reevaluations, and processes.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment and student engagement.
