Qualifications

  • Pass WorkKeys assessment or 96 hours in-service training.
  • Completion of NC DOL Teacher Assistant Apprenticeship Program.
  • One year working with EC children preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, and gymnasiums.
  • Prepare lesson materials and organize classroom learning spaces.
  • Collect data to document progress toward IEP goals.
  • Assist with bus, transportation duties, and field trips.
  • Provide physical assistance to students and support to therapists and teachers.
