Job summary

KIPP North Carolina is seeking an Exceptional Children Teacher to support students with disabilities in multiple instructional settings. You will deliver specially designed instruction and coordinate with general education curricula to meet individualized needs.

The role requires an Active North Carolina Exceptional Children License and collaborative engagement with families and school staff, with a focus on student progress and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant content area.
• Active North Carolina Exceptional Children License required on day one.
• Praxis exams completed or planned prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction (SDI) to students with disabilities within resource, co-taught, or self-contained settings.
• Plan and deliver instruction using general education curricula and evidence-based practices.
• Communicate progress and needs with teachers and parents regularly.
• Develop and maintain IEP records, ensure annual reviews and reevaluations are completed.
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff; participate in school events.
