Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Must hold or be eligible for North Carolina Professional Educator's License in Exceptional Children.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and NC EC program requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with laws and NC regulations.
• Provide direct instruction in academic, functional, behavioral, and social-emotional areas.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintain documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
• Implement accommodations and behavior plans per IEPs.
• Participate in IEP meetings, reevaluations, and other processes.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
