Job summary

Under general supervision you will assist in small groups or individually, supervise students in classrooms and on playgrounds, prepare lesson materials, maintain records, and help with attendance and transportation duties. This role emphasizes collaboration and safety within the school environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher education equivalent.
• Ability to pass WorkKeys and in-service training requirements.
• Experience or interest in exceptional children education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, policies, and procedures.
• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias and on campus.
• Enforce school policies and procedures for student safety.
• Coordinate with the classroom teacher to plan instructional support.
• Assist with learning materials, portfolios, and testing per teacher direction.
• Support attendance procedures and classroom organization.
• Prepare lesson materials and classroom displays for instruction.
• Participate in bus, car, and van transportation duties as needed.
• Provide physical assistance and support to students and teachers as required.
