Job summary

Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment (HAVE) in Elkton, MD is seeking an Eastern Shore Regional Nurse (RN/DN) to provide nursing oversight and care coordination for individuals with developmental disabilities across the Eastern Shore.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, health screenings, developing health care plans, coordinating with direct support staff and external providers, managing medications, and participating in person-centered planning meetings.

Qualifications

• Active RN or DN license in Maryland.
• Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) preferred.
• Knowledge of DDA regulations and person-centered care.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and care coordination.
• Ability to travel regionally to multiple sites.
• Excellent communication and staff training abilities.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable on hire.

About the Role:

Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment (HAVE) is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Eastern Shore Regional Nurse (RN/DN) to join our DDA Nursing Support Services team in Elkton, MD. Responsibilities:

Provide regional nursing support and oversight for individuals enrolled in DDA (Developmental Disabilities Administration) programs across the Eastern Shore

Conduct nursing assessments, health screenings, and develop individualized health care plans

Collaborate with direct support professionals, care coordinators, and external healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care

Monitor and manage medication administration protocols and provide staff training on health-related procedures

Respond to medical concerns, incidents, and emergencies in residential and community-based settings

Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with DDA regulations and agency policies

Participate in person-centered planning meetings and serve as a clinical resource for interdisciplinary teams

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Delegating Nurse (DN) license in the state of Maryland

Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) preferred

Knowledge of DDA regulations, policies, and person-centered care principles

Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and care coordination skills

Ability to travel regionally across the Eastern Shore to multiple program sites

Excellent communication, collaboration, and staff training abilities

CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
