Job summary

Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment (HAVE) in LaPlata, MD is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team. This role provides direct care in residential settings, helping individuals with developmental disabilities achieve independence and meaningful day-to-day living.

With multiple shifts including evenings and weekends, you will implement ISPs, assist with ADLs, monitor health needs, and coordinate with families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in direct care preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnights
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
