Job summary

The State of North Carolina's Department of Adult Correction, Eastern Region Office in Greenville, NC, invites applications for a Correctional Regional Operations Manager (NS). This role will oversee the thirteen prison facilities in the Eastern Region and report directly to the Assistant Region Director.

Candidates must supervise staff, monitor audits and inspections, guide emergency responses, ensure SOP compliance, and support training initiatives.

Qualifications

Documented knowledge of offender custody and program management.
Documented knowledge of departmental rules, policies and procedures concerning the custody, care, treatment, and training of offenders.
Experience in supervising employees.

Responsibilities

Supervise staff responsible for audits, inspections, and emergency response.
Assist in organizational structure changes and staffing decisions.
Provide regional training initiatives and SOP adherence.
Ensure SOPs align with division policies and develop internal procedures as needed.
Monitor operations via on-site facility inspections and monthly reports.
Conduct staff counseling and disciplinary investigations.
Participate in promotions interviews and oversee performance evaluations.
Travel and overnight stays as required.
Serve in Regional Command Center during disasters and extended hours.
