Job summary

Frost Valley YMCA in New York state seeks an East Valley Program Coordinator and East Valley Ranch Summer Camp Director to oversee the all-girls equestrian camp and year-round initiatives at East Valley Ranch. The role includes on-site housing and close collaboration across departments to deliver high-quality programming for campers and families.

You will recruit and train staff, manage program operations and budgets, ensure safety and accreditation standards, and support school and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Be a strong leader and able to work with a team.
• Be able to multi-task and handle pressure.
• Enjoy working with children, teens, families and other staff.
• Knowledge of riding style and previous equestrian experience preferred.
• Clean, valid US Driver’s License desired.
• Wilderness First Responder certification desired; if not, courses upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day camp operations and year-round programs in East Valley.
• Maintain safety for ~60 campers per session and groups year-round.
• Recruitment strategy and calendar of outreach events.
• Develop relationships with parents, caregivers, and guests.
• Coordinate with Wellness, Kitchen, Facilities, Agriculture and Equestrian teams.
