Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate data platforms and pipelines for client engagements. You will collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake.

You will apply software engineering practices, support AI-enabled data workloads, and contribute to governed data foundations for analytics, ML, and GenAI initiatives. Hybrid work model and client-facing delivery included.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one major cloud or data platform such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks or Snowflake.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java and/or Scala.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, distributed processing, lakehouse architectures, streaming, APIs, orchestration, or data platform modernization.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing cloud-native data platforms, data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses, and data products.
• Building reliable batch and streaming data pipelines, integrations, and orchestration workflows.
• Translating business and technical requirements into maintainable engineering solutions and actionable development tasks.
• Developing solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake ecosystems based on client needs.
