Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead a production facility in East London. This senior role oversees the entire manufacturing process, from raw material intake to finished goods shipment, while driving operational excellence and quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP/MES systems, with proven leadership of large teams and a track record of cost reduction and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing management.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience with budgets, P&L, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and MES.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage manufacturing operations, including planning, execution and quality control.
• Improve efficiency and reduce costs using lean principles.
• Manage departmental budgets, cost control and resource allocation.
• Lead and mentor production supervisors and staff for continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering and sales to meet business goals.
