Job summary

Uphold is seeking a Senior Agentic Engineer on the East Coast or remote to design, build, and iterate on agentic development infrastructure that powers our AI-native software delivery. You will help orchestrate AI agents across the development lifecycle, from feature spec to production, with human oversight at key stages.

You will implement feedback loops, guardrails, and production-grade tooling to accelerate engineering velocity while maintaining security and compliance in a regulated fintech

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in system design and architecture.
• Hands-on production experience with agentic AI frameworks and modern AI coding assistants integrated into your daily workflow.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and infrastructure automation.
• Comfort working in ambiguous, rapidly evolving problem spaces where you define the approach as you go.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document systems clearly across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain agentic orchestration systems coordinating AI agents across code generation, testing, review, and deployment stages.
• Design and implement feedback loops, guardrails, and quality gates for production-ready agentic output in fintech environments.
• Develop internal tooling to improve developer experience for agentic workflows.
• Iterate on pipeline architecture with experiments, measuring impact on engineering throughput.
• Collaborate with the Agentic Engineering Lead to translate AI adoption goals into shippable systems.
• Evaluate and integrate AI models and agent frameworks appropriate for Uphold’s stack.
• Instrument and monitor agentic systems for reliability, security, and regulatory compliance.
