Job summary

People In AI is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to help build a production-grade workflow automation platform. This remote role in the United States involves shipping production AI systems, owning end-to-end features from design through production, and collaborating with a small, highly technical AI team.

You will work on agentic workflows, tool use, and integration with existing product workflows, with occasional travel to meet the team.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping production AI or LLM-powered applications.
• Hands-on experience with agent workflows, LLM orchestration, tool calling, or multi-step AI systems.
• Understanding production concerns including monitoring, reliability, scalability, and failure handling.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and ship results.

Responsibilities

• Build and productionize agentic AI workflows.
• Develop tool-use, function-calling, and orchestration patterns.
• Build multi-step workflows that can reason, take action, and interact with external systems.
• Integrate AI agents deeply into existing product workflows and applications.
• Own ambiguous, zero-to-one engineering projects from design through production.
