Job summary

Pike Engineering, an equal opportunity employer, seeks a candidate to secure easements and land rights for transmission and distribution projects. Responsibilities include negotiating with landowners, coordinating permits, and reviewing title reports to determine value.

A Notary Public seal is required, with Real Estate license preferred. Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years in obtaining property rights, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school degree or GED; preferred bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • Experience in obtaining property rights and easements from landowners and governmental agencies (1–3 years).
  • Public Notary is required; real estate license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize communication and negotiating skills to acquire property rights required by the company and affiliates.
  • Coordinate with engineers and attorneys to facilitate land rights acquisition.
  • Obtain permits for federal lands and ensure environmental compliance.
  • Review title reports and appraisals to assess property values for easements and fee title.
  • Communicate with landowners, attorneys and public officials to support projects.
  • Prepare reports for status meetings on right-of-way acquisitions.
  • Assist in more complex transactions as needed.
