Pike Engineering, an equal opportunity employer, seeks a candidate to secure easements and land rights for transmission and distribution projects. Responsibilities include negotiating with landowners, coordinating permits, and reviewing title reports to determine value.
A Notary Public seal is required, with Real Estate license preferred. Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years in obtaining property rights, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
This role researches, secures and processes easements quit claims for transmission and distribution rights-of-ways. Researches land ownership and existing easement rights for property. Facilitates acquisition and/or prepares and secures permits from government agencies and railroads. The incumbent must obtain and maintain a Notary Public seal for the States in which services are rendered.
Semi-routine; majority of work covered by established procedures.
Influences decisions of moderate nature requiring high degree of tact.

Required High school degree or GED.

1-3Year(s) Experience in obtaining property rights and easements from landowners and governmental agencies
Public Notary is required. Real Estate license preferred.
Employees new to the position will be required to gain full working knowledge of the systems and processes used in the full performance of the job which may include attending seminars, on the job with other incumbents to the role or corporate workshops.
A. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
B. Ability to write reports, Business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
C. Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
1. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.
2. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
