Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a Right of Way Specialist to research, secure, and process easements for transmission and distribution rights-of-way. The role involves researching land ownership, obtaining and maintaining notary seals, and coordinating permits from government agencies and railroads.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in obtaining property rights and easements, and a Public Notary is required with a Real Estate license preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration or related field.
  • Public Notary is required. Real Estate license preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in obtaining property rights and easements from landowners and governmental agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire property rights from landowners and government agencies using negotiation skills.
  • Coordinate permits for federal lands and ensure environmental requirements are met.
  • Prepare and present reports for weekly construction project status meetings and for status of right-of-way acquisition.
  • Assist with more complex transactions as needed.
  • Communicate with landowners, attorneys, public officials, engineers, and others to secure land rights.
