Job summary

Eco Material Technologies, a CRH Company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to manage and operate a range of heavy equipment in our Georgia sites. The role involves moving bulk materials, loading trucks, and supporting site operations.

Responsibilities include safety-compliant inspections, equipment maintenance, and coordination with supervisors and coworkers to meet project goals. On-site work is required with rotating shifts and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with training or certification in a relevant skill or trade.
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in operating various heavy equipment (bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, etc).
• Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance practices for inspection, lubrication and minor repairs.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Strong verbal communication skills for conveying instructions and reporting issues.
• Attention to detail for tasks such as grading, digging, and material handling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as front-end loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, excavators, and dump trucks to move materials.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and report any defects or malfunctions to maintenance.
• Execute site preparation, earthmoving, and material handling according to plans and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain equipment through routine maintenance: check fluids, lubricate parts, and clean.
• Adhere to safety policies, coordinate tasks with coworkers, and communicate progress and issues.
