Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego, CA is seeking a Principal Program Cost Control Analyst to join the Mission Systems team on a full-time, on-site basis with a 9/80 schedule. You will partner with program stakeholders to create and analyze reports, support invoicing opportunities, and assist with EACs, IPRS and financial forecasts.

The role requires Earned Value Management experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to obtain and maintain a US government Secret clearance; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related professional experience or Master’s with 3 years
• 9 years of experience in lieu of degree considered
• Experience with Earned Value Management
• Experience with cost performance reporting and analysis in financial systems
• Strong PC skills including Excel, pivot tables, VLOOKUP and conditional formatting
• Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze reports, assist with invoicing opportunities and support monthly/quarterly tasks (EACs, IPRS, forecasts)
• Work with program managers and CAMs to provide financial support and prepare budgets/schedules
• Monitor costs and schedules; perform EVM tasks including WBS, budget baseline, estimates to complete
• Prepare analyses to ensure contracts stay within negotiated parameters and government guidelines
• Support audits, Annual Operating Plan, Resource Plan, and provide financial inputs to internal reports and dashboards
