Job summary

Castle Education is seeking an Early Years Support Assistant to work across local nurseries. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment where children learn through play and development. Roles include supporting development, independence, and daily nursery activities in a team setting.

Flexible hours available: 8:00am–6:00pm, 8:30am–3:30pm, part-time, full-time and ad-hoc shifts. Weekly pay and ongoing CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification is required.
• Experience in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

The Role

As an Early Years Support Assistant, you will help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn, play and develop.
You could be supporting children through:

• Creative and educational activities
• Play-based learning
• Supporting children’s development and independence
• Developing positive relationships with children
• Supporting the nursery team with daily activities
• Providing a caring and encouraging environment
• Supporting children across different age groups within the setting

Hours & Pay

Hours can vary depending on the nursery and your availability, with opportunities including:

• 8:00am – 6:00pm
• 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Part-time hours
• Full-time hours
• Ad-hoc shifts

£14.24 – £17.00 per hour, depending on your qualifications and experience.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• The ability to work as part of a team
