The successful Nursery Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support children through engaging, creative and play-based activities. As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can learn, develop and thrive.
Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities.
Assisting with daily classroom and nursery routines.
Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required.
Supporting children's communication, language and social development.
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive relationships.
Assisting with creative, sensory and outdoor learning activities.
Supporting children's personal care needs where required.
Observing and monitoring children's progress and development.
Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
Have previous experience working with young children or within an Early Years setting.
Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable).
Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework.
Be caring, patient, enthusiastic and adaptable.
Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Be passionate about supporting children's early learning and development.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
