Job summary

The Stanford University Center for Definitive and Curative Medicine (CDCM) seeks a full-time Discovery Stage Project Manager to plan, monitor, and manage investigator-initiated translational research projects in early development, ensuring on-time completion within budget. You will oversee complex programs and coordinate timelines across functional areas, especially in cell and gene therapy trials.

This role requires advanced PM experience in research settings, strong budgeting and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in pre-clinical research, device development, pharmaceutical industry, etc.
• 5 years of team lead project management experience in a research lab setting.
• Knowledge of GLP, Stanford processes, regulations and procedures.
• Ability to produce Gantt Charts and other project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and operations for programs with significant business, regulatory and/or technical challenges.
• Evaluate programs, policies and procedures; identify issues and develop solutions.
• Review trends and advise on goals of the program.
• Represent the program within the department and at university/external constituencies.
• Manage outreach and communications strategies; ensure compliance.
• May develop and oversee budgets; monitor and report finances.
• Assess training needs and develop training.
• May supervise staff.
