Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a CNC Operator in Shelbyville, IN to operate various CNC machines in a fast-paced production setting. You will inspect work for defects, adhere to safety and quality standards, and contribute ideas to reduce waste while supporting company values.

You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, read a tape measure, and work overtime as required; prior related experience and basic Microsoft knowledge are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a related area is preferred.
• Must have basic Microsoft knowledge.
• Experience with side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, stretch wrap machine, and various pneumatic equipment preferred, not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC controlled machines such as presses, lasers, rolling mills in a fast-paced production setting with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Inspect work visually for defects according to quality standards.
• Serve as a positive role model aligned with Cornerstone Building Brands Mission, Vision and Core Values.
• Provide cost saving suggestions to improve production and eliminate waste.
• Must be willing/able to work overtime.
• Must be able to read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules.
• Willing to learn and take on additional tasks as assigned.
• Team player and safety-focused.
