Job summary

FedEx in New York is seeking personnel to safely operate equipment used for moving packages, documents, heavyweight freight and hazardous goods. The role includes assisting with pallet buildup and breakdown, and acting as a liaison with ULD repair vendors.

Candidates should be able to lift heavy loads, walk/stand for long periods, and operate in all weather conditions. This is a part-time early morning shift with strict safety requirements and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from the ground to chest level.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend, squat and maneuver packages above shoulder level.
• Communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for movement of packages, documents, heavyweight freight and ULDs.
• Assist in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serve as liaison between FedEx and ULD repair vendor as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
