Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in New York (Town of Newburgh) seeks a warehouse associate to operate equipment safely for moving packages and pallets, including heavyweight freight. You will assist in pallet buildup and breakdown and liaise with the ULD repair vendor as required.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to chest level, walk and stand for long hours, and work in all weather conditions. A valid driver's license and ability to work in a loud environment are required.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Able to maneuver packages above 50 lbs using equipment or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders if required.
• Able to operate in all weather conditions and in a loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
