Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Operations Associate to help create an outstanding customer experience by performing essential store operations. This early-morning position supports a team as tasks are completed before the store opens, including customer service, merchandising, and backroom duties.

You will engage customers, manage price changes, restock merchandise, unload shipments, and contribute to omnichannel initiatives, while following leadership plans and maintaining a safe, organized stockroom.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail settings preferred.
• Ability to engage customers and resolve questions effectively.
• Comfort with moving quickly around a store and handling tasks before opening.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to shoppers in a fast-paced store environment.
• Execute pricing and signing tasks to update ticketed merchandise accurately and promptly.
• Replenish and restock store merchandise to ensure the floor has the right styles and sizes for customers.
• Receive and unload shipments, work with team to process backroom stock.
• Maintain clean, organized backroom standards and stockroom safety.
• Support omnichannel initiatives including Buy Online Pickup in Store, Ship from Store, and order fulfillment.
• Implement merchandise placement plans communicated by leadership with efficiency and attention to detail.
• Engage in a learning environment by absorbing new processes related to merchandise, safety, and productivity.
