Job summary

Pinnacle Living is seeking a Cedarfield Household Cook New to join our team. This part-time role prepares entrees, soups, vegetables, and salads per production sheets and recipes for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and healthcare dining services.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitary kitchen standards, assisting with menu planning, ordering daily items, and ensuring resident satisfaction while working with the Chef in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year of food production experience preferred.
• No certification or licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items following production sheets and recipes.
• Maintains high standards of quality food preparation and portion control.
• Sets up serving line(s) in accordance with menus and procedures.
• Maintains proper food storage with dating and labeling.
• Reviews and follows menus; consults Chef/Sous Chef for changes.
• Oversees and maintains walk-ins, refrigerators, and freezers; utilizes leftovers.
• Maintains sanitation and safety in the food prep area; follows regulations.
• Works with Chef on menu planning and production changes.
• Inspects pantries daily; communicates deficiencies.
• Assists Chef with ordering food items for daily production.
• Washes and cleans utensils and equipment; reports repairs.
