Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing and freight handling or forklift experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred when required.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry varying weights several times a week and open trailer doors with significant force.

Responsibilities

• Perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with all laws/regulations and company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
