Job summary

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is hiring for Floor Tech roles in Norfolk, VA. Start pay is $16.78 per hour with full-time, permanent positions and day shifts available. Duties include cleaning floors, carpet care, and operating janitorial equipment in designated areas.

Preferred candidates have at least one year of floor care experience, can lift up to 49 pounds, read safety docs, and follow safety procedures. KBSPresence app usage and cell phone reimbursement are provided where allowed.

Qualifications

• One year of prior floor care experience preferred.
• Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Climb ladders and navigate gangways safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform spot removal, extraction, bonnet cleaning, strip/wax, scrub/recoat, seal/grout, etc.
• Scrub, shine, clean, and repair carpeted and non-carpeted areas using equipment and chemicals.
• Clean floors and stairways by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Move large furniture and objects when necessary and follow safety guidelines to prevent injury.
• Keep janitor closet neat, clean, and organized.
• Follow manufacturer's specifications for chemicals and equipment.
