Job summary

Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery is seeking an Early Morning Dishwasher to help keep our cafe and kitchen sparkling while serving our community with fresh, local ingredients.

You will wash dishes, assist with cleaning tasks, and support a fast-paced team from 4am to 12pm, including weekends. We value honesty, teamwork, and a positive attitude, with a benefits package that includes health insurance and PTO.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Available early morning hours (4a-12p shift) and weekends.
• Passion for local food and ability to tell the story behind it.
• Honest, professional and respectful at all times.
• Enjoy interacting with people and delivering excellent customer service.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Wash cafe and kitchen dishes following sanitation guidelines, keeping the dishwashing and storage areas clean.
• Sweep, take out trash, compost and recycling throughout the day.
• Deep cleaning, wiping walls and scrubbing dish station.
• Assist Kitchen and Cafe in the transportation of dirty dishes to the dish room.
• Put clean dishes back in their designated place in the appropriate department.

The Early Morning Dishwasher is key to maintaining the high level of Swamp Standards. Customer service starts with cleanliness!

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Responsible for washing cafe and kitchen dishes following sanitation guidelines, keeping the dishwashing and storage areas clean
• Sweeps, takes out trash, compost and recycling throughout the day
• Performs additional cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning, wiping walls and scrubbing dish station
• Assists Kitchen and Cafe in the transportation of dirty dishes to the dish room
• Puts clean dishes back in their designated place in the appropriate department
