Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery seeks a Bread Baker to mix, proof, cut and bake our flagship STECCA daily using quality ingredients to deliver an exceptional eating experience. This role starts early morning shifts with opportunities to grow in a mission-driven cafe that values community and local food.

You will handle a variety of baked goods, follow checklists, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a welcoming cafe atmosphere with friendly service.

Responsibilities

• Produces Swamp baked goods including baking, mixing, scaling and portioning with correct weights.
• Follows daily checklists to prepare and bake a variety of baked goods.
• Mixes, rolls and proofs dough using standard equipment.
• Maintains proper time and temperature for quality results.
• Sorts and packs pastries for cafe use, store sales, catering, and wholesale orders.
• Adds final touches on baked goods for retail display.

The Bread Baker’s role is to mix, proof, cut and bake our flagship item- STECCA daily using the best possible ingredients for customers to enjoy the best possible eating experience.

Requirements

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Produces Swamp baked goods including: baking, mixing, scaling, portioning recipes and following Produces Swamp baked goods including: baking, mixing, scaling, portioning recipes and following proper weight standards
• Follows daily checklists to prepare and bake a variety of unique baked goods
• Mixes, rolls, and proofs dough using industry standard equipment
• Follows proper time and temperature guidelines to ensure a quality bake each time
• Sorts, assembles, and packs pastries for cafe use, store sales, or catering and wholesale orders
• Puts the final touches on baked goods to be packaged and put out for retail sales

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS?

AGE/AVAILABILITY

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be available for a variety of early morning shifts such as 3:00 am- 11:00 am as well as weekends
