Union College in Schenectady, NY, is seeking a part-time Custodian to maintain cleanliness of office spaces and common areas across campus. The role runs Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., 25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

Activities include trash removal, cleaning, and basic upkeep across campus facilities. The position requires physical capability, safety awareness, and flexibility to work weekends if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Safety conscious and able to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Weekend work may be required; emergency coverage possible.
• Driver's license with clean record is required only for weekend roles.

Responsibilities

• Remove office and building trash; clean floors and bathrooms.
• Support event setup with tables and chairs when needed.
• Assist colleagues as needed to maintain campus cleanliness.
