Job summary

The Daily Nosh is hiring a Line Cook / Prep Cook in Downtown Roseville to join our back-of-house team. You will handle breakfast and lunch prep, set up stations, follow recipes, and help maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and speed during service.

We value punctual, team-oriented cooks with basic knife skills and a strong work ethic. Early mornings, weekends, and holidays are required; prior high-volume kitchen experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred.
• Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations.
• Ability to follow recipes and directions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients through chopping, slicing, portioning, batching, and other daily prep tasks.
• Follow prep lists, recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines accurately.
• Set up, stock, and maintain assigned line stations for service.
• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items to established standards.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation during service.
• Monitor inventory and restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift.
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food according to FIFO standards.
• Maintain clean, organized prep areas, workstations, walk-ins, and storage spaces.
• Clean and properly maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and fellow team members.
• Work efficiently and maintain composure during busy service periods.
• Assist with additional kitchen responsibilities as needed to support the team
