Job summary

Early Learning Corps is hosted by Ampact, a nonprofit organization that partners with AmeriCorps to support pre-kindergarten learners. In the Early Learning Tutor role, you will work in a classroom to build early literacy and math skills, guided by teachers and trained coaches.

You will gain coaching and training opportunities, with part-time options available. The program emphasizes growth and community impact for the youngest students in 2026–2027.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with community.
