Job summary

Ampact is seeking an Early Learning Tutor to work in a pre-kindergarten classroom, helping students build early literacy and math skills with guided activities and coaching.

You will partner with a teacher, engage in talking, reading, writing, singing, and play to foster confidence, skills, and a love of learning in young children for the 2026-27 school year. The role includes a daytime schedule, with part-time options available and AmeriCorps benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who is focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
