Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking an Early Learning Teacher Assistant to support high-quality early childhood education for children and families served by the Y. Under supervision, you will implement curricula aligned with program goals and licensing standards, ensuring engaging activities, safety, and family involvement.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, 2+ years of experience with children under five, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Have at least 2 years of experience working with children younger than five in a state licensed center. NAEYC or Quality Rated experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans using curriculum goals to support early learning standards.
• Create activities related to weekly studies and student interests.
• Implement family-style meals and engage children in conversation.
• Maintain compliance with program goals and objectives (Bright from the Start, Quality Rated).
• Arrange learning environments to support content areas and ECERS/ITERS criteria.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement.
