Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking an Early Learning Teacher to support children from six weeks to three years under the supervision of the Program Director. The role focuses on a safe, healthy learning environment with developmentally appropriate, inclusive practices across all areas of a child’s development.

Qualifications

• CDA in Infant and Toddler Education or higher.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical requirements (kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop classroom staff and manage day-to-day operations.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants and toddlers.
• Meet all regulatory, licensure, and program requirements including documentation and assessments.
• Record observations describing the whole child and milestones; engage with families through conferences and home visits.
• Maintain safe, healthy, clean, and organized classroom environments indoors and outdoors.
