Job summary

College of Southern Idaho is seeking an Early Learning Mentor Coach to provide ongoing training, mentoring and technical assistance to Head Start teaching staff. The role leads in implementing best practices and communicates the Head Start outcomes framework and standards.

Responsibilities include coaching teachers, conducting site observations, using CLASS and PQA data, and facilitating curriculum planning sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience with classroom observation and mentoring elementary staff.
• Knowledge of CLASS and Preschool Quality Assessment (PQA) data usage.
• Strong communication and team leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing training and mentoring to Head Start teaching staff.
• Lead center site observations to promote best practices and culturally responsive delivery.
• Use CLASS and PQA data to tailor coaching and support needs.
• Conduct small group meetings to plan curriculum and assess implementation.
• Attend required trainings and maintain program documentation.
