Job summary

Para Los Niños is seeking a Mentor Coach to advance Early Head Start and Head Start instructional practices. You will coach teachers through modeling, feedback, and professional learning, partnering with site leaders to tailor support.

You will monitor progress, stay current on ECE developments, and participate in ongoing training. The role requires a Bachelor's in ECE or related field, California certifications within 12 months, and several years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field.
Master Teacher Permit or higher within 12 months of hire.
Preschool Infant/Toddler Certification or six infant/toddler units within 12 months of hire.
CLASS Reliability Certification within 12 months and annual recertification.
Five years of experience in public, charter, or private school settings.
Knowledge of Practice-Based Coaching models.
Understanding of adult learning principles and applying data to coaching.
Experience with young children in classroom/group settings (4 years preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

Conduct observations and review information to identify coaching priorities.
Develop and facilitate coaching activities aligned with needs and priorities.
Coordinate support for teachers, teams, sites, or program-wide needs.
Provide Tier II/III coaching by modeling practices and supporting classroom application.
Monitor coaching effectiveness and inform ongoing support.
Maintain knowledge of ECE practices and participate in required activities.
