Job summary

College of Southern Idaho is seeking an Early Learning Mentor Coach to provide ongoing training, mentoring, and technical assistance to Head Start teaching staff. The role leads districtwide coaching aligned with Head Start standards and outcomes, promoting best practices and culturally responsive teaching.

The position requires a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education (or closely related field) and experience supervising staff, along with knowledge of CLASS, PQA, and Head Start performance

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of family focused intervention strategies
• Familiar with Head Start/Early Head Start standards and NAEYC accreditation requirements
• Experience supervising paraprofessional staff and volunteers

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach Head Start teaching staff with data‑driven strategies.
• Conduct center observations to promote developmentally appropriate practices.
• Use CLASS and PQA data to support coaching and mentoring.
• Lead small group meetings to plan curriculum and assess progress.
• Maintain documentation of services provided and reports submitted.
