Job summary

Community Day Charter Public School in Lawrence, MA seeks dedicated paraprofessionals to join our team serving pre-kindergarten to 8th grade students. You will provide targeted behavioral and academic support, collaborate with teachers on accommodations, and help implement individualized plans to close achievement gaps.

The role offers competitive hourly compensation ($17.00–$20.00) and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience with school-aged children preferred.
Ability to demonstrate collaborative planning and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Demonstrates flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate strategies and classroom supports.
CDCPS participates in the E-Verify program and related right-to-work documents.

Responsibilities

Provide small group or one-on-one behavioral and academic support to students or small groups.
Support students based on IEP goals and accommodations.
Collaborate with teachers to ensure accommodations/modifications are met in inclusive classrooms.
Assist the teacher with day-to-day classroom operations.
Promote social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of each child.
Participate in summer training and year-long professional development.
Provide coverage as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
