Job summary

Springfield Prep Charter School in Springfield, MA is seeking a Paraprofessional to provide academic and behavioral support to students in general education classrooms, helping them engage in learning and reach high expectations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and staff, implementing plans with fidelity, supporting students with and without IEPs, and helping maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment.

Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree or higher is highly preferred.
• Previous jobs, internships, and/or volunteer experiences working with children; experience working in an elementary or middle school setting preferred.
• You can commit to our schedule: (7:25 am-3:35 pm)

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and behavioral support to students in general education classrooms through a combination of one-on-one, small-group, and push-in support.
• Implement instructional plans, curriculum, and interventions prepared by classroom teachers and school leaders with fidelity.
• Support classroom teachers in maintaining a positive, structured learning environment by reinforcing routines and expectations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teachers, the School Culture team, and school leadership.
• Provide targeted interventions to individual students or small groups, including students with and without IEPs.
• Assist with behavior plans, de-escalation strategies, and schoolwide behavior systems as directed.
