Responsibilities

• Provide small group or one-on-one behavioral and academic support to students or small groups.
• Support students based on IEP goals and accommodations.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure accommodations/modifications are met in inclusive classrooms.
• Assist the teacher with day-to-day classroom operations.
• Promote social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of each child.
• Participate in summer training and year-long professional development.
• Provide coverage as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

CDCPS manages multiple campuses across Lawrence, MA, and serves 1,200 pre-kindergarten to 8th-grade students. We believe in providing our students with a rigorous student-centered academic program while investing in their social, emotional, and holistic well-being. CDCPS has dedicated teams to support our teachers, ensuring our students' success. CDCPS Paraprofessionals are educators who are excited to provide individualized support to help our students demonstrate growth and mastery at grade-level standards. CDCPS Paraprofessionals support and deliver effective, high-quality, rigorous instruction in various settings to support the school's needs. **Responsibilities (including but not limited to):*** Provide small group or one on one behavioral and academic support to a specific student or small group of students* Provide one on one student support based on specific needs outlined in the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP)* Collaborate with teachers to ensure accommodations/modifications are being met in the inclusive classroom setting* Assist the teacher in the day-to-day operation of the classroom* Promote the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical talents of each child* Participate in two-week training in the summer, and during the school year, participate in a year-long professional development series during early release days* Provide coverage as needed* Engage in all other duties as assigned by your supervisor**Compensation:**We offer a competitive compensation package and comprehensive health benefits.
