Job summary

Signal Centers seeks an Early Language and Literacy Coach to provide professional development, coaching, and resources to educators across Tennessee, focusing on high-quality interactions and evidence-based literacy practices.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, 3 years of experience, and strong writing/presentation skills. Travel statewide and some weeknights/weekends are expected, with remote home work allowed within TN.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in education, Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, or related field.
Three years of experience in this or a related field is preferred.
Experience training and coaching adult learners.
Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to work well independently.
Must be a systems thinker who can collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

Promote an inspiring and solution-focused team environment.
Maintain professional relationships with area coaches and support CCR&R coaches on language & literacy concerns.
Research and stay current on quality language and literacy practices.
Develop and deliver new initiatives for language and literacy learning and development.
Acquire and maintain certifications (e.g., Learning Language and Loving It, LENA Grow, Devereux) arranged by CCR&R.
Provide training and resource materials to early childhood professionals to share with families.
Support statewide travel and occasional weeknights/weekends, including overnight travel.
