Job summary

Kent ISD in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking an Early Interventionist Specialist (PSP) on a part-time basis (.8 FTE, 146 days). The role is aligned with the Early On program and supports infants and toddlers through a family-centered coaching approach.

You will conduct evaluations, co-create IFSPs, coordinate services, and guide families across homes and community settings while collaborating with districts and health partners. A strong commitment to equity is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required and licensed or certified in the appropriate discipline.
• Knowledge of child development and family-centered practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to equity-focused service delivery and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct multidisciplinary evaluations for Early On and eligibility determinations for IDEA Part C/B.
• Provide home- and community-based intervention using a coaching approach.
• Serve as ongoing Service Coordinator for children and families on caseload.
• Develop and implement IFSPs and support transitions to IEPs as needed.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with Michigan Part C regulations.
• Participate in team meetings and lead parent education groups.
