Job summary

TheraCare in Queens, NY is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Early Intervention to work with infants and toddlers (birth–3) in home and community settings.

You will design and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), conduct developmental assessments, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and an interdisciplinary team. Qualifications

• New York State certification in Special Education (Birth–Grade 2 or equivalent).
• Experience with infants, toddlers, or early childhood preferred.
• Knowledge of Early Intervention service delivery models and documentation standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct early childhood special education services to children in home and community settings.
• Develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
• Conduct developmental assessments and progress monitoring.
• Work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary team members.
• Deliver family coaching to encourage developmental growth.
• Maintain documentation and service logs in compliance with NYC EI requirements.
